The trailer for 'Dune' dropped today and we've got it for you right here, along with some details.
The wait is over! The trailer for the much anticipated new film 'Dune' is here. It is big, full of action, and star-studded as you would have expected.
The trailer premiered during a Twitter live event. Stephen Colbert interviewed the epic cast during the event about their experiences on set and how they got involved with the film.
Some of the big names starring in the film are Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya Coleman, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.
The trailer features most of the big names and gives a very moody vibe as Warner Bros had confirmed. And, of course, there is a sandworm thrown in the mix just at the very end.
The film's synopsis reads:
Feature adaptation of Frank Herbert's science fiction novel, about the son of a noble family entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset and most vital element in the galaxy.
Dune is all set to be released in the United States in IMAX and 3D on December 18, 2020.
Last month, the film underwent a few reshoots in Hungary after the country gave the studio the green light amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Oscar Isaac spoke about the reshoots to Deadline, saying:
"I saw some things cut together, and it just looks amazing," he said. "Denis [Villeneuve] is a real artist, and it will be exciting to see it come together.
"It's kind of wild that we're doing some additional shooting a few months before it's supposed to come out, but that happened with Star Wars as well."
Set your calendars for December 18, 2020.
