Disturbing Selfie And Texts Woman Sent Her Family Moments Before The Brazilian Plane That Crashed Killing Everyone On Board

Before the tragedy occurred, one of the victims of a horrifying plane crash in Brazil texted her mother some chilling messages.

On Friday (August 9), a Voepass plane flying from Cascavel in Paraná to Guarulhos in Sao Paulo tragically plummeted to the ground.

The plane was operating regularly around 1:20 pm, according to a statement from the Brazilian Air Force, but it soon ceased responding to air traffic control.

One of the passengers’ mothers revealed text messages from her daughter to Brazilian network TV Globo in the midst of the disaster.

In a message shared by her mother Rosemeire Xavier, 23-year-old Rosana Xavier wrote at 11.47am: “Man, two hours of flight.

“We’re going to arrive in the rain. I am so scared of this flight.

“I swear, the plane is old.”

A minute later she wrote: “There is a broken seat. I swear. Chaos.”

After that, she published a selfie of herself with her family in which she appeared poker-faced.

Rosana’s mother continued by saying that she had requested her daughter to read a passage from the Bible in order to help her relax, but that she had also begun to feel anxious following the text messages.

She then recalled the moment she heard about the crash on the news saying: “I was in despair. I started running around the house screaming.”

First responders were able to retrieve the bodies of all 28 female and 34 male passengers a day after the incident.

Only 17 dead, including pilot Danilo Romano and co-pilot Humberto de Silva, had been identified as of Monday, August 12.

In an initial statement shared by the airline on Friday, they wrote: “The aircraft took off from Cascavel-PR bound for Guarulhos Airport, with 58 passengers and four crew members on board. VOEPASS has taken all measures to support those involved.

The manner in which the accident happened and the present state of the passengers are still unconfirmed. The company offers information and help to all of its passengers, family members, and staff by phone at 0800 9419712, which is open around-the-clock.”
