Deep Blue Sea 3 is swimming our way very soon and we've got all the juicy details about the upcoming Shark thriller.
The first Deep Blue Sea film was able to successfully keep me away from the ocean for a whole summer. The second one wasn't as successful as the first but now the third one is on the way. Is it going to be bigger and better? Well, let's explore all there is to know about the third installment of our favorite shark series.
Deep Blue Sea 3 is reportedly set to swim to our screens on July 28th, 2020. This news comes via IMDB, but it has yet to be confirmed by any other source.
There is word that the film, though distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, may be headed straight to Netflix. The streaming giant is also listed as a producer for the film
The film will not consist of any A-list actors with B-Listers dominating the cast sheet. Some of those names include Nathaniel Buzolic, Emerson Brooks, Siya Mayola, Brashaad Mayweather, and Bren Foster. Do any of these names ring a bell? Nope, not to me either. The most popular actor on the list is Nathaniel Buzolic who you may or may not recognize from Hacksaw Ridge (2016), The Originals (2013), and The Vampire Diaries (2009).
The plot for "Deep Blue Sea 3" is currently mostly under wraps. We don't particularly like jumping to conclusions but based on the last two films we can expect the third installment to go something like this:
"Hey look, it's a shark!"
"Nom Nom Nom nom!
John Pogue helmed the film. He is mostly known for directing the films Quarantine 2, and The Quiet Ones. The screenplay was penned by Dirk Blackman, who is most known for writing Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans
Don't expect to be taking your kids to see this one. Deep Blue Sea 3 has been "Rated R for some violence, bloody images, and language" per the MPAA.
There is no trailer currently for the Deep Blue Sea 3 but here are the trailers for the first two.
