Dave Burd aka Lil Dicky announced via his Instagram handle that the filming for the third season was wrapped on December 22, 2022. Dave is set to premiere on April 5, 2023, on FXX with a two-episode premiere. The next day, the third season will be available to stream on Hulu. The official synopsis of the series goes like this...
"Dave is headlining his first-ever tour and looking for love along the way. But as he and the gang crisscross America, they discover firsthand how diverse the cultural landscape of the United States really is – and how often fame puts pressure on love and friendship." In the first two seasons, we saw the protagonist deal with loads of stress surrounding his failures, loss of friends, and also heartbreak. We also saw the rapper have visions of eating his friend's body parts and meeting an alien version of himself. So yeah when we say that this show has gotten very surreal, we mean it!
David Burd will obviously be back to portray himself. We saw the rapper rise to fame in 2013 when he released a music video for his song "Ex-Boyfriend" on YouTube. The song, actually shows the emotions that one goes through while meeting your girlfriend's hotter ex-boyfriend. The song received more than one million views in just 24 hours making this rapper a viral celebrity overnight. Andrew Santino will return to portray Lil Dicky's friend and also a manager. We will also see Travis Bennet as Elz. We might see Taylor Misiak return as Ally and the one who got away.
