Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? The anime, also known as DanMachi, makes a strong comeback in 2020. Fans are anticipating the new season.
The English title of this series, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, is pretty descriptive of the premise of the whole thing. Early 2020 saw the release of an OVA, which makes this season timely, with watchers not having to wait for months or even years to get their fill. This series is based on a light novel which was written by Fujino Ōmori with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda. The initial publication of the light novel was in 2013, with the first season of the anime coming out in 2015. There was a spin-off series that aired in 2017, which led to the series being renewed for a second season in 2019. Now, with 2020 looming, we're eager to see where things go in DanMachi season 3.
The plot of this story centers around a labyrinthine city known as Orario. Beneath the town lies underground catacombs that are all interlinked into one massive, sprawling complex residents simply refer to as "The Dungeon." As in typical adventure game, plucky explorers called Familias enter The Dungeon to slay monsters as well as retrieve shards from their bodies. They can then sell these shards for coin, or use them to craft legendary and powerful weaponry. It's here that we find Bell Cranel, our 15-year-old protagonist who dreams of becoming an adventurer someday. Bell is an unremarkable boy and would be utterly dull if it wasn't for his chance encounter with a goddess called Hestia. She bestows on him some godly powers that make his dream of being an adventurer viable.
Setting out on his quest to become the world's best adventurer, Bell finds himself in more and more precarious situations. As he gets deeper into the underground caverns, he realizes that the adventurers aren't the most significant danger lurking in the shadows. Something else lives down here. Now Bell and Hestia have to try to keep themselves alive deep within the bowels of the Dungeon, staying one step ahead of the lurking danger beneath.
Season 3 offers a lot of promise to fans of the series. From reports that we've had, we expect to see a few more characters debut in season 3 of DanMachi. Additionally, there have been rumors of a new God that is pulling strings behind the scenes. There's also likely to be a new villain, as Ares fades into the background, and Barca Perdix's brother Dix takes over as the main baddie. Based on what we've seen in previous seasons, Season 3 is already shaping up to be one that both fans and newcomers are going to love.
As an anime, DanMachi has a lot of strong points to recommend it. RPG players will immediately realize how close it matches with the games that they're used to. The classic repetition of "kill things, get loot, buy stuff" is a core trait of almost every RPG game ever made. Seeing it in an anime setting is always exciting for gamers because it feels like we're connected to the world. There have been reports that the second season of DanMachi is going to be available on Netflix for streaming as of February 2020, so this is a great time to get invested in the series. You might still have to check out your regular streaming sources to get season 1 as we're not sure if Netflix managed to secure rights for that.
If you're worried that the release date for season 3 will catch you watching seasons 1 and 2, you shouldn't. There isn't any exact release date as yet for this series, but hints suggest that we'll see season 3 sometime in July 2020.Disclaimer : The views expressed in this article belong to the writer and are not necessarily shared by trinikid.com
