For the English language release, Sentai Filmworks has confirmed that they have licensed the series. What's more, a volley of lucky fans, who will be attending Anime Expo 2019 this year, will get a chance to see the first episode of the new season before anyone else!
A popular Japanese anime show called 'Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka' and popularly known as DanMachi is getting a second season. The English name for that show is 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?' and the show is extremely popular among anime fans. It is based on a light-novel series of the same name and is created by Fujino Ōmori along with Suzuhito Yasuda, who used his illustration skills to illustrate the novel. The novel was launched for the first time on January 15, 2013. It didn't take long for the producers to pick it up for a manga adaptation, which got published just months later on August 2, 2013.
When the light-novel series and the manga series were published after a couple of years, DanMachi was then taken up for an anime adaptation. Season 1 first came out on viewer's screens on April 4, 2015. As soon as fans saw the first season, the show garnered huge attention and became popular. The popularity led to the birth of a spin-off anime show called Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Gaiden: Sword Oratoria, that aired from April 15, 2017, to July 1, 2017. Not to a surprise, the spinoff also performed well and DanMachi was renewed for a second season, which will come out this year. Fans cannot keep themselves contained because it is indeed big news for them. Here is everything we could gather about the renewal of the show's second installment.
The second installment of 'Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?' will be officially premiering in Japan on July 12th, and the new teaser poster has also been dropped by the series to celebrate.

The first season's team will be returning as well with Hideki Shirane responsible for writing the scripts, and Shigeki Kimoto will be returning as character designer. Jin Aketagawa will be back as sound director and Keiji Inai is returning as a composer. Yuka Iguchi will be returning to perform the second season's opening theme, titled "HELLO to DREAM." The light novel series revolves around Bell Cranel, who is a young explorer and always keen for adventure. He ends up exploring the Dungeon. The people of his city join guilds called Familia, which are a group of adventurers who level up and explore the Dungeon together all in the name of their group's god. Bell, however, is the only one who formed a Familia under the goddess Hestia and goes on to face the Dungeon and level up all on his own while he tries to get the attention of girls. The second season of the show will be showing more crazy adventures of Bell and Hestia.
