‘Dakaichi’ Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Dakaichi – I’m Being Harassed By The Sexiest Man Of The Year is a romantic anime TV series consisting of 13 episodes. Based on a yaoi (homoerotic) manga series of the same name, it was first published on July 31, 2014, and was written and illustrated by Hashigo Sakurabi. Four years later, a Japanese anime studio called CloverWorks decided to turn it into an anime series and the first season hit screens on October 6, 2018. Will fans see a second season? Since chapters are still being written in the manga series, it’s likely that there is enough material for more seasons.

When Will Dakaichi Season 2 Release?

Dakaichi has not been renewed for season 2 yet but if the show is renewed, the release date of Dakaretai Otoko Ichii Seiyuu season 2 could be sometime in 2024. While the new season seems to have been delayed, we hope we get to see it by early 2024.

What Is The Plot Of Dakaichi Season 2?

In season 1, the show followed Takato Saijo, who has held the title of “Sexiest Man of the Year” for five consecutive years. Later, he is overthrown by rookie actor Junta Azumaya. This rookie actor receives advice and guidance from Takato Saijo after stealing away Takato’s number-one spot. But Takato adopts a hostile attitude towards Junta and takes to drinking. Junta catches him in a drunken state and later starts blackmailing him for physical affection. Junta’s instant obsession leads him to blackmail Takato into intimacy. Their complicated relationship starts developing into something more. Junta later becomes wholeheartedly devoted to Takato. Although blackmailing isn’t a great way to start a relationship, Junta later proves that he would never do anything to hurt or endanger the one he loves. Season 2 could follow up on this.

Who Is Cast In Dakaichi Season 2?

Season 1 of Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu or Dakaichi (literally meaning “The Most Huggable Man Has Threatened Me”) included Yuki Ono as Junta Azumaya and Hiroki Takahashi as Takato Saijo who will be reprising their roles if a second season should come up.
