Copenhagen Cowboy Ending Explained

People started wondering about the protagonist Miu when she first made her appearance on screen and she holds an unmatchable power. There are people who want to take advantage of her since she has the ability to intentionally bring good luck to people around her. There is o concrete information regarding her actual origins or identity in the show but we can assume that she is some sort of a witch or demon or an unnamed supernatural being.

Who Is Rakel?

Then there is Niklas, who is the dashing anti-hero of the show and he can be deemed as someone more mysterious that the protagonist herself. Niklas and his family aren’t just a bunch of rich people. They could be more than just normal human beings. They have psychopathic tendencies and then we are introduced to Rakel. Rakel is Niklas’s sister who appears in a spirit form to him because Niklas can’t combat Miu by himself and needs Rakel. Rakel instructs Niklas to wake her from inside a coffin with the blood of their mother which drips on her mouth and this could be an indication that she might be a vampire.

Who Are The Giants?

The identities of the giants could be perceived in a number of ways. They could be vampires, witches, or a combination of both, or something else altogether. However, Hideo Kojima makes a shocking cameo to reveal Miu’s nature to us. She is a powerful spirit and only the giants can fight her. Even though the origins of the giants are not made explicitly clear, we can jump into some Scandinavian mythos and find the similarities between the giants with Jötuns. The giants are worthy of their name because they are referred to as some of the most powerful beings in this show. In case, the story continues for another season, we can be certain that Miu has a worthy adversary.

What Happens In The Finale?

By the end of the show, Miu kills Mr. Chiang and reunites Mother Hulda and Ai after which she walks into the woods of Copenhagen. Interestingly enough she finds other women in the woods wearing blue outfits just like her. Together they are set to face off against Rakel who is dressed in red and her attacks seems way too powerful for Miu to handle at first. It is suggested that Miu might have been defeated by Rakel as the story concludes with a video call between Miroslav and Kojima which hints that a possible continuation of the story just might happen since this show ends on a cliffhanger.
