Camila Cabello decided to get candid about her first sexual experience and got into some of the details
Many people find losing their virginity to be a significant life event. It can be a significant milestone on the path to sexual self-confidence and discovering your preferences.
This is a reality for celebrities as well, even though they may appear larger than life to their admirers.
Singer Camila Cabello decided she wanted the world to know a bit more about her, even though few people speak up to the public about who they have been intimate with.
The former Fifth Harmony member said her first relationship, back when she was 20, broadened her mind, and she went into some details regarding her previous sexual experiences.
On a recent episode of The Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Cabello discussed her relationship from seven years ago.
According to her, she dated relationship guru, writer, and internet personality Matthew Hussey when she was about 20 years old.
On the podcast, she detailed the “beautiful” moment she fell in love with him and lost her virginity.
“I had my first relationship at that time. I had actually listened to [Matthew’s] podcast before … because he had, like, a dating podcast. And he is married now, so congratulations,” she said. “It was late for my first relationship. I was 20.
“That was my first time having sex. First lovemaking was at 20, 21. … It was literally lovemaking. It was beautiful.”
She picked up a lot of useful information from Hussey during their brief relationship (which lasted from 2018 to 2019). She also praised the writer for his relationship success after her, as he is now married.
Cabello continued: “He was a really great person. It was like the perfect first relationship. It really expanded my world because he wasn’t in my industry too.
“It was like, ‘Oh my God, have you ever seen Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and have you ever seen Studio Ghibli films?’”
Hussey has also previously praised the singer, and in 2018 during an interview, he described Cabello as ‘an incredible human being’.
There has been a range of responses on social media to Cabello’s open discussion about her early sexual encounters.
While some have praised her for having a positive first impression, others have claimed that such specifics are unnecessary.
“I feel like she needs to learn that not everything has to be shared with the public,” one user wrote.
“Lmaooo girll we didn’t ask this is private thing…What do you want us to do??,” another added.
However, one user defended the singer, saying: “I feel like you need to grow up. She’s a real human and artist and most people already knew this anyways she was asked a question on a podcast she answered.”
Another praised Cabello and said: “That’s really sweet. Everyone’s experience is different and it’s nice to hear she had a positive one.”
