After just one season, Buying London was canceled by Netflix.
The Selling Sunset-style reality show tracks real estate tycoon Daniel Daggers and his group of DDRE Global agents as they negotiate the high-end real estate market in London.
Viewers criticized the first season of the show for being a “cheap copycat” of Selling Sunset when it aired on the streaming service in May 2024.
To further promote the show in response to the criticism, Netflix’s X account shared a quote from the Guardian’s review.
“‘Probably the most hateable TV show ever made.’ Stirring up drama, on and off screen. Buying London is now streaming!” the post read.
According to Deadline, Buying London has been formally canceled after failing to live up to the popularity of Selling Sunset, despite briefly making it into the UK top-10 on Netflix.
