Brie Larson wants Marvel Studios to bring all the female Avengers together in their own movie. Do you think this is a good idea?
Brie Larson is by far the most hated member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her take on sexism, harassment in Hollywood and her supposed hoity-toity attitude has made her a springboard for a lot of criticism. Her latest statement about an all-female Avengers movie is now putting her in even more hot waters.
In a recent interview with CNet, Larson was asked by the interviewer which MCU actor she would like to do a "buddy movie" with. Her direct response was:
I’m still really into this idea of an all-female Avengers movie. Getting all the women together and getting them to work as a team … would be so powerful and iconic. Just because having just seen Avengers: Endgame, getting to see all of those characters on screen, you realize the beauty of these new superhero movies is that everybody has their own special skills they bring to the table. Their own, you know, superpower.
She then went on to say:
And to see women work together, and in that way as a team, is not something we’ve seen enough of on screen.
There is no word yet on whether an all-female Avengers movie is in the works but given the sheer success of Captain Marvel, it seems like something to consider. Maybe some dark-alien force from a faraway planet captures all the men on earth to use them as slaves and the team of strong female superheroes assembles to rescue them......MEH!
Would you like to see an all-female Avengers? Or is this wishful thinking on the part of Larson?
