'Bridgerton' Season 2 Has An Official Release Date And Is Coming To Netflix In March

Netflix and Shondaland announced that the second season will be premiering on March 25.

Bridgerton is coming back!

The period drama that became the most-watched series on Netflix at the time of its premiere last year is returning to enchant the audience again. It had a viewership of 82 million households and was overtaken earlier this year by the Korean drama Squid Game. The Gossip Girl-esque regency drama was adapted from Julia Quinn's novels and the first season followed the story of the Bridgerton family. It starred Regé-Jean Page as Simon Basset and Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne Basset. The first season follows Daphne as she makes her debut onto Regency London's competitive marriage market.

The long wait is over and the series is finally set for release.

What Is The Plot Of Bridgerton Season 2?

It follows the setting of the books according to which the next installment will follow the Viscount, Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey). As per Variety, the second season will follow Lord Anthony's quest for love as he sets out to find a suitable wife. Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) and her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) arrive from India and Anthony starts to court the latter sister. Soon enough, Kate discovers that his intentions for marriage are not so pure.

At the end of season one, we were let in on the identity of the gossip writer Lady Whistledown and we can expect to see more of that as well.
