Renewal Status: Pending/ Possibly Ghost Canceled by Netflix
Netflix has not announced the renewal of Bloodride for season 2 yet, as of this update. Netflix often takes at least a month to decide whether to renew a show or not, meticulously looking at the show's performance on the first 30 days on the platform. Renewals could, of course, get delayed, especially in times like this. However, it has been more than three years since the first season premiered, and we are losing hope that it will still return. It might be one of those silent cancelations, or the show was never planned for multiple seasons. The Norwegian horror anthology was an interesting addition to the streaming giant's list of foreign titles. The horror series dropped six episodes, each with 30 minutes of gruesome tales filled with twists and intelligently crafted narratives. Bloodride was considered a hidden gem for the horror-loving community that discovered it, and it would be unfortunate not to see it again.
Netflix is yet to give the green light for Bloodride Season 2, so there's no official release date yet. Season 1 premiered on the streaming platform on Friday the 13th of March 2020. Although the release date could be just a coincidence, something's telling us that season 2 would drop on another Friday, the 13th, in the future.

Each character has a different story to tell, but all of them are connected through the bus ride they shared. Season 1 offered us different horror sub-genre, including psychological horror, superstitions, supernatural phenomena, and grisly slashers. From a young primary school teacher who is gorged by evil demons to a wife who poisons her husband with toxic gas, the series has a lot to offer. If the show gets renewed for season 2 and assuming they keep their original format, we're expecting fresh new faces with various new stories.
If the series continues its anthology format, then we're likely to see new faces for the new season. The bus rider is the only face that pops up throughout the six episodes, so he's the only cast that's likely to return. We'll wait for further casting news once the show secures the renewal.
