The reboot featured the two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali in the title role. The first Blade movie is remembered as one of the best Marvel movies before MCU was established of course! It was only a couple of years later when MCU started planning a reboot for the half-man half-vampire protagonist. Here's everything we know about Blade, the upcoming MCU movie.

The movie was supposed to hit theatres on November 3, 2023, but will now release on September 6, 2024. The postponement happened when the film lost its director just after Halloween this year. However, no great things can be rushed and this sure looks like one hell of a movie! We will have to wait to find out as the movie has been postponed.

What's The Plot of Blade?

MCU is keeping the plot details under wraps as of now! Let's hope to get a synopsis real soon. Right now all we know is the character's origin story from the comic book which could act as source material for Blade. We know that his mother was bitten by a vampire when she was pregnant with him. After giving birth to a half-human half-vampire child she passed away. The former director Bassam Tariq while speaking to Gizmodo said, "What’s so great is it’s not as boxed as I think people imagine it to be, which I thought it would be. But it’s quite exciting, and I think the reality is that there is absolutely no Blade canon. In some comics, his name is Fred H. Blade, you know, instead of Eric Brooks. Unfortunately, the runs never lasted that long, and there have been some interesting and exciting waves. But I can say [the new movie is] character first."
