San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) is one of the most awaited events for fans, where new projects are introduced, existing projects are discussed, and old projects are reminisced. Among the numerous panels and events, the Hall H panel stands out for being the biggest hall where people gather and new films and shows are teased. This year, Marvel Studios also made an appearance at the SDCC Hall H Panel and it effectively showed the trajectory for the way Phase 4 will end and Phase 5's progress. It will all culminate in an end of what is being dubbed The Multiverse Saga, according to Variety.

Phase 4 will be ending with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, coming to theatres on November 11, 2022. In light of this news, director Ryan Coogler shared a teaser, showing the progression of the film without Chadwick Boseman. Boseman passed away in 2020, at the age of 43, after battling colon cancer for four years. Even though he isn’t present in the film, the cast has done their best to honor his legacy within the narrative of the film.

While there are many debates on who will take up the mantle in the future, many fans are speculating that it could be Shuri, T’Challa’s sister and brilliant scientist. However, this wasn’t the only news Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had to give fans. Phase 4 may be ending but The Multiverse Saga is just beginning. MCU's fifth phase will start with Secret Invasion, which is a show starring Samuel L. Jackson, coming out in the spring of 2023, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, releasing on May 5, 2023.

After this, focusing on Hawkeye’s antihero Maya Lopez, the show Echo will be released in the summer of 2023. Alaqua Cox’s character had gained a huge fan base during the release of the show and everyone is excited for her origin story. In the same time frame, Loki’s second season will also be coming out. After the cliffhanger ending of the first season, fans cannot wait to see what happens with the internet’s favorite trickster and Kang the Conquerer.

Speaking of new suspicious characters, if you remember the ominous voice at the end of Eternals, that was Mahershala Ali, people. Ali will be starring in Blade, which will release on November 3, 2023. With Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams alias Ironheart being introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, she will get her own show, called Ironheart, releasing in the fall of 2023.

Another familiar character, Agatha Harkness played by Kathryn Hahn (who was trapped in the Hex at the end of WandaVision) will also be getting her own show called Agatha: Coven of Chaos. This news was hardly surprising as fans were in such admiration of her that they sent the theme song Agatha All Along to Number 1 on the iTunes chart. This just shows how excited viewers are to see Agatha in a new light and gain insight into her backstory.

Additionally, Phase 5 will also feature a new Captain America film with a new (and improved) Captain America, Sam Wilson, in Captain America: New World Order which is slated to come out on May 3, 2024. Introducing OG Marvel television’s hero, Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox all over again, Daredevil: Born Again will come out in the spring of 2024. Changing up the slate completely, a new movie titled Thunderbolts will be released on July 26, 2024. While there is no information about this film, comic lore points towards a possible Helmut Zemo return. AND FINALLY! The Fantastic Four will also be making an appearance, in their well-deserved film of the same name. While the cast is still a mystery, after the appearance of John Krasinski in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans are extremely excited to welcome him back into the fold. This film is slated to release on November 8, 2024.

Lastly, capping off the Multiverse Saga, two Avengers films—Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars—will be released on May 2, 2025, and November 7, 2025, respectively. If it wasn’t confusing before, Marvel fans now have a whole lot more to wrap their heads around.

All Phase 4 titles (aside from Thor: Love and Thunder, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) are currently streaming on Disney+. Spider-Man: No Way Home is streaming on Netflix.
