Ben Affleck Rumored To Return As Batman In HBO Max Series

Is Batflleck making a return? Well according to a new supposed insider leak, he just might be.

Batman

Ben Affleck may not be putting away his bat-suit after all. After the announcement of Snyder Cut making its way to HBO Max, a new rumor has emerged about Ben Affleck's future as the Gotham Knight.

A new rumor is now claiming that Ben Affleck will be returning as Batman for his very own Batman series on HBO Max.

The rumor continues on saying that the series will follow the events of the Snyder Cut of the Justice League movie and an announcement will be made at the end of the year. The rumor also mentioned that Zack Snyder will be the producer and Joe Manganiello will return as Deathstroke.

If this rumor is true it can add a lot of publicity for the newly released HBO Max platform. Keep in mind that this is only a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt. However, we have reported on many rumors in the past and most of them turned out to be true.

Ben Affleck as Batman

This rumor came from a supposed leak from an insider on 4Chan. It read:

Batfleck is getting his own HBO Max Original Series that follows directly from where the Snyder Cut leaves off. Affleck himself will serve as showrunner, Snyder is onboard as Executive Producer, and Manganiello is returning as Deathstroke. Details on whether it will be a miniseries or if they can get Affleck into a multi-season contract are still being negotiated. Expect an official announcement towards the end of the year.

This is very interesting news given the tumultuous relationship that Ben Affleck has had with the role. He was initially supposed to star, write and direct The Batman but later opted out of the whole project allegedly due to issues with the script and a few quarrels with WB executives.

AT&T were the ones who greenlit the release of the Snyder Cut. And with a huge budget and lots of eyes, it's not going to be a surprise to see the company dish out the big bucks for Batfleck.

Justice League

There's also the possibility of the release of David Ayer's finished version of the Suicide Squad "Ayer Cut". This could add tons of new subscribers to the platform and even open the door for a whole new DCEU.

Maybe we can see a DC multiverse of sorts. We get the continuation of Zack Snyder's Justice League series on HBO Max and Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson Batman movie being in a separate universe, as well as The Joker.

It's not going to be one big universe like the MCU, but who cares, right? As long as we get quality film-making!
