There is a shift in the story when a high school boy Shotaro bumps into Sakurako. Gradually, as the story develops, Shotaro becomes her assistant as well as a fellow and companion. Both of them venture on a journey together where they delve into the world of human skeletons in an attempt to discover how the bones can reveal the life of their former owners.
