Antebellum follows a young successful author named Veronica Henley who finds herself trapped in a nightmarish reality and must uncover the creepy mystery before it's too late.
Janelle Monáe headlines this one as Veronica Henley. It's not often we get to see the famous singer on the big screen so it's always welcomed. She previously starred in Hidden Figures, Moonlight and Harriet. She also lent her voice to the movies Rio 2, UglyDolls, and the Lady and the Tramp remake.
Other members of the cast include Marque Richardson, Eric Lange, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Robert Aramayo, Lily Cowles, and Jena Malone.
Antebellum is set to be released in the United States on August 21, 2020.
It was first scheduled to be released on April 24, 2020 but was later pushed to August due to the COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the world right now. Principal photography began in May 2019.
