Niko and the Salvare crew managed to save the Earth in season 2. Are there more missions in the future?
The second season of the Netflix sci-fi drama 'Another Life' was released on the platform in October 2021 and gave us a satisfactory ending. Niko and his crew managed to save not just the Earth, but hundreds of other planets in the universe. While that is a celebratory feat, we can't help but wonder if that also signals the end of the series.
Created by Aaron Martin, 'Another Life' premiered on Netflix on July 25, 2019. The series was met with low ratings when it debuted. It only scored 59% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, the second season managed to draw a much better audience score of 83%.

Bad news! 'Another Life' was officially canceled by Netflix. The news came on February 21st in a tweet by Katee Sackhoff. She said:

There are no plot details available for season 3 as it has been canceled. However, if it miraculously gets renewed, we expect it to pick up from where the last season left off. In season two, Niko's crew found that the Achaians were artificial creations made by aliens. Because of this, the squad uses a computer virus to bring down the artifact. The squad successfully defeated the Achaians. Niko and his team free the Earth and hundreds of other planets.
It is a decent ending and at least the second season has given us a proper conclusion.
If ever the series returns, Niko and his crew might face new troubles as they travel to the new worlds. The squad's problem and main antagonist, the real Achaians, may also show up and sabotage their agendas. That can still be an exciting narrative to explore in season 3.
