Going by speculations and popular reports, we can, therefore, expect season 2 of 'Another Life' to release sometime in July 2020.
Tech series will never go out of Vogue. Because being digitally forward and clued up about what's next in terms of technology is the way forward. Also, when the whole agenda of millennials today is to 'Netflix and Chill', why would anyone give up on that? The streaming giant knows that there is a huge fan following who love to watch great sci-fi shows, for example, French series ‘Osmosis’ to German show ‘Dark’ have raked in great numbers in terms of viewership. And, another interesting show to add to the list happens to be the first season of 'Another Life'.
'Another Life' is a show that sheds light on a series of events that ensue after an alien object enters the Earth's atmosphere. After this, a team of specialists try to figure everything out about the alien object and what exactly it is, while another team is sent to trace the origin of the object and, in turn, discovers that there is another life-form in the universe. The series is created by Aaron Martin who's famous for his previous work on 'Slasher', 'Being Erica' and ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’. Aaron is also responsible for executive producing the show with Noreen Halpern. The production company responsible for the series is Halfire Entertainment.
Well, if we listen to Katee Sackhoff, who not only stars in the series as Niko but is also a producer, the story might run for three seasons. "We had the outline of what the show was gonna be, but I was in the writers' room and I got to really put what I feel is my fingerprint on the show, which is something that I was really looking forward to," she told Collider. "So, we know where the show potentially will go for the first three seasons. As an actor, that was new for me. To really be a part of those conversations and to have an opinion was really cool." She added: "I love this character, and I love the cast and the crew, and I want to do everything in my power to see it come back, for many years."
The first season premiered on July 25, 2019, on Netflix. Other shows like sci-fi like 'Stranger Things', 'Dark', 'The OA' and 'Lost in Space' have been successful, therefore, 'Another Life' could hopefully be an addition to the successful sci-fi list. Even though there isn't any official news related to the second installment of the show, but, considering how the first season ended, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the second season happening. We can, therefore, expect season 2 of 'Another Life' to release sometime in July 2020.
Aside from the fact that we already mentioned about the synopsis of the first season above; fans now know that the alien race is called Achaia who are definitely not human-friendly. An Al on the planet Zakir described their goals to be purely destructive, which was also demonstrated by Achaia when they arrived in their ships and blew up Zakir after Niko and the Salvare attempted to liberate and free it from its own Artifact. This has made one thing clear for the fans: Dstroying Achaia is not going to be as easy as it was to destroy Artifact.
Even though in season 1 the fans didn't get the clear picture of what exactly is the intention of Achaia- whether to simply destroy it, or, make things even more adverse. Season 1 ends with the journalist Harper Glass, played by Selma Blair, whose mind is controlled by the Achaia, announcing to the people of Earth that there is no danger these Achaia possess and the aliens only want to make friends. It is still a mystery whether this is really the truth or there is something else behind it. Season 2 of Another Life, might see Erik put under the same mind control as Harper Glass, that will set up a conflict where Erik is the antagonist and Niko is forced to fight her own husband.
