Andrew Garfield has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. He did not win big at the 2022 Oscars although he was nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Leading Role for Tick, Tick...Boom!. However, there is a lot in store for him. Now that he is back in the Spider-verse, fans are expecting to see more of him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

At the Oscars, the 38-year-old actor was asked by The Hollywood Reporter about the possibility of a sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 film which was released in 2014. He had the best response to this.

"No update from me," Garfield replied, expertly dodging the question by adding, "No one's going to believe anything I ever say again. That's my problem." This was in reference to his determined denial of any involvement in the Spider-Man: No Way Home film. Leading up to the film, there were several leaks about Garfield's and Tobey Maguire's involvement in the film. He was asked multiple times about being in the film, in several interviews, and he vehemently denied his involvement even as far as denying his role in the film to his Amazing Spider-Man co-star, Emma Stone.

Garfield had once even stated that fans would be disappointed when they saw the movie because he would not be in it. Now, as we all know, Garfield is very much in the film. Several weeks after the film's release, Sony and Marvel shared the gathering of the past and present Spider-Men by recreating the iconic Spider-Man meme.

Speaking about his experience on the sets of the Spider-Man film he said, "I got this call from Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige and Jon Watts with this idea. It was immediately undeniable. It sounded incredibly fun, incredibly spiritual—trippy and thematically interesting," he gushed about his role adding, "We talked a lot about mentorship. We talked a lot about brotherhood and about what it is to be the older brother, younger brother, and the middle brother." He also spoke about the brotherhood that the crossover managed to create among the three actors.

Following the release of the movie, Garfield also expressed his desire to return to his role as Spider-Man. And with confirmation from producer Amy Pascal that there will at least be three more Spider-Man movies, rumors have already begun to float about there being a possibility of Amazing Spider-Man making a comeback. This is also partly based on the fact that the post-credit scene involves Venom entering the MCU world in what can only be a set-up for a future showdown with Spider-Man. We'll have to wait and find out.
