While they don't look good, here are some of the best reviews we came accross.
If you haven't opened the internet, you wouldn't know about Amsterdam, the incredibly star-studded film (incredibly) flopping its way across the box office with many critics slamming the film in any way possible. The cast includes Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Taylor Swift, Chris Rock, Zoe Saldana, Timothy Olyphant, Matthias Schoenaerts and Michael Shannon. Saying all the names in the cast in one breath would be a TikTok challenge on its own. It would be a waste to not read these tweets or share some critics' reactions to why the film actually became one of 2022's worst films. So, here are some of the best (and hilarious) reviews of the movie we have seen:
David O. Russell's latest film is giving me flashbacks of that video of A-list celebrities singing “Imagine” to us over Zoom, writes @Roseandblog Our #Amsterdam review: https://t.co/3oscSvc5pV

Review: #Amsterdam is a rollicking character comedy and an almost subtle retelling of a forgotten 'past is prologue' chapter of American history. It's is an acting delight and #DavidORussell's best movie since 'Three Kings.' via @Forbes by @ScottMendelson https://t.co/qRkiy1eMAD

Review: To describe “Amsterdam” as an unfunny comedy would be unfair, because it’s so much more than that. It’s also a non-thrilling thriller and a not particularly mysterious mystery. https://t.co/yQ6dqTVRWx

Met David O. Russell at 2016 Critics Choice Awards. Congratulated him on "Joy". He was immediately apologetic. “Joy” didn’t receive acclaim of his previous films. “I’m sorry. I’ll come back with a better one.”

Unfortunately #Amsterdam isn’t it. My Review: https://t.co/U5QYFTysmH pic.twitter.com/WXph8ndMIi
And if you thought they were about to get better, they are not, people have heard other critics leaving the theatre while audiences find the theatres empty. What was supposed to be one of the most anticipated films of the year turned into a massive disappointment for critics and audiences alike. But honorable mention:
Amsterdam feels like a movie written in fifteen minutes on a coke bender

Amsterdam is playing in theatres now.
