Amber Heard Speaks Out As Ex Johnny Depp Arrives In Country Where She Has Relocated To With A New Name

Following Johnny Depp’s arrival in the nation where she now resides, Amber Heard has spoken out

Heard has relocated to Spain to begin a fresh chapter in her life with her daughter, two years after the public court case involving the two.

The US defamation trial, which garnered extensive media attention, went to Depp’s advantage in the end.

Heard fled to Mallorca before relocating to Madrid, and ever since the legal issues arose, she has maintained a low profile.

Still, when questioned about her thoughts on Depp’s visit to Spain, she had something to say after facing paparazzi in Madrid.

Depp is set to arrive in Spain on September 24 to present his project Modi, a film about painter Amedeo Modigliani.

Heard, meanwhile, said that she had been doing much better since relocating to Spain and preferred not to dwell on Depp’s visit.

She said: “I’m living here in Madrid, I love Spain.

“I’m very lucky to be here, and regarding my past, I don’t feel like thinking or talking about it, because I’m happy and in peace.”

The “moral values” of Spain are something she admires, she said before explaining why she decided to go there.

She added: “Also, the people, the vibes. People here are very respectful and happy. I appreciate that.”

Following her op-ed in The Washington Post, in which she discussed her encounters with sexual assault and domestic violence, Heard was sued by Depp for libel.

The contents of the article were the basis for Depp’s lawsuit against his ex-wife, even though he was not named in it.

After a lengthy slander trial, a jury awarded Depp $15 million from Heard.

They also found in favour of Heard’s counter suit, ruling that she should be awarded $2 million.

Heard ultimately made a payment of $1 million to Depp, and has since moved out of the public eye.

Heard has devoted herself to raising her three-year-old kid and learning Spanish with a local accent since the trial and her relocation.

Before local news outlets learned of her Mallorca residency, she had taken up a pseudonym.

No new films starring Heard were in production as of July 2024, according to her IMDb page.

She previously appeared in Aquaman 2 (2023), the sequel to the film in which she reprised her role.
