James Bond is back (for a new movie) and fans are eager to know all the details about the upcoming movie.
The name of the behemoth of the British franchise is James Bond and he has both multiple reboots and facelifts for that matter, but managed to keep it current without losing the essence of what Bond is. He is as smooth as a secret agent, a shagger, and an international mystery man who always gets anyone he wants, be it for business or pleasure. The last four installments have seen Daniel Craig in the role of Bond, and now it has been confirmed that he will return for a fifth. This will be the 25th movie of the franchise and here is everything you need to know about the movie.
After Danny Boyle left as the director it was reported that the movie would be delayed from its November 2019 release date. Recently, the producers of the movie confirmed that the movie will start filming at Pinewood Studios on March 4, 2019, ahead of a worldwide release date of February 14, 2020. It is hard to imagine that the release date of the Bond movie is not going to be delayed any further, it happened again, and the date was pushed back again and MGM announced that it would be pushed back by two months and the final release date as on now, and let's hope it is the final one is on April 3, 2020, in the UK and April 8, 2020, in the US.
Apart from Daniel Craig, the other actors joining the movie are Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter, and Léa Seydoux is rumored to play the role of Madeleine Swann. Christopher Waltz is not coming back and the new faces that are going to feature are Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, Ana De Armas, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, and Rami Malek.
At first, Danny Boyle was said to take the mantle of the director before the shocking news broke as the producers saw him leave the project. They cited creative differences regarding the movie just months before production. Later on, Boyle said that it is a shame and hinted that it was down to what he was planning to do, reportedly killing off Bond. It was also reported that the movie would be written by long-time 007 duo Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. But, later on, it was revealed that Scott Z Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are working on the script.
After the official announcement of the cast, the official synopsis of the movie reads, "Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology." Ralph Fiennes revealed that he hasn't even read a script yet in early March, saying, "Well I know we're shooting this year, I'm genuinely not being coy, I've not yet read a script, I don't have a start date."
Unfortunately, there is no trailer as of now but let's hope that there will be one soon.
As the production of the movie has been delayed multiple times, coupled with all the behind-the-scenes changes, it is safe to say that we are not going to see any footage until late 2019. What we can hope for is teaser footage when the shooting starts.
