Goodbye 2020 and hello 2021! We have never been this excited to kiss a year goodbye, and we don't even want to mention why.

Thankfully, there are so many things to look forward to this year, especially when it comes to movies that suffered delays due to the pandemic.

So, let us start this year right. We listed down some of the biggest movies that are coming out in 2021, their release dates, and more!

Please take note that all of the release dates are accurate as of this writing. The pandemic is still not over, so future delays might still happen. We will continue to update this page for any future changes.

Shadow In The Cloud

Release Date: January 1, 2021, in theaters and VOD.

We're starting the New Year with an intense action-horror-war film set during WWII.

'The 5th Wave' stars Chloë Grace Moretz and Nick Robinson are reuniting for a  more old fashioned kind of warfare in 'Shadow In The Cloud.' Moretz plays a female WWII pilot traveling with top-secret documents on a B-17 Flying Fortress. She discovers a mysterious and evil presence aboard the flight and must learn to fight to survive. 


The Little Things 

Release Date: January 29, 2021 Theaters And HBO Max

Oscar winners Denzel Washington and Rami Malek team up as California cops tracking a serial killer played by Jared Leto. The problem is they couldn't find a way to nail him down for all the murders. 'The Little Things ' is the first Warner Bros. film to be released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max this year. 



Release Date 26 February 2021 in theaters, 12 March 2021 on Apple TV+

Tom Holland works with directors Anthony and Joe Russo in this upcoming Crime and Drama film that's set to bring out a different side of the young actor. 

Holland plays an army medic turned serial bank robber after his drug addiction put him in debt. 

'Cherry' is new territory for Holland, so fans have been eagerly anticipating its release. 

There is no official trailer yet, but we have already had a first look at how Holland looks in the film. See the picture below.

Release Date:  26 February 2021

Our favorite duo is coming back with their decade-old mouse-and-cat-fights, and even cause trouble to Chloë Grace Moretz's in the upcoming live-action film! 

The legendary cartoon 'frenemies' are bringing their battle in a posh New York hotel, threatening to ruin the 'wedding of the century' and end Kayla's
(Moretz) career.

Chaos Walking

Release Date: 5 March 2021

Tom Holland is putting down his Spider-Man suit in the meantime, but not his heroic nature as he tries his best to protect Daisy Ridley in this upcoming adventure science fiction film. 

Directed by Doug Liman, Chaos Walking will bring us to a dystopian world where men can hear and see each other's thoughts, and all women were thought to have perished. 

The Lionsgate film has been delayed numerous times. It was originally scheduled to release on March 1, 2019, but was poorly received in a test screening in 2018.

It was pushed to Jan. 22, 2021, to accommodate the reshoot but was delayed further due to the stars' availability for filming.

'Chaos Walking' is now set to hit the theaters on March 5, 2021.

Coming 2 America

Release Date: 5 March 2021 on Amazon  Prime Video 

Akeem has a son, and he must go back to America to find him! 

A sequel to 'Coming to America' which released in 1988, 'Coming 2 America', will bring Prince Akeem (Murphy) back to the land of milk and honey, more than 3 decades since the original adventure. 

Expect tons of laughter as Eddie Murphy reprises his role along with Arsenio Hall, who plays his faithful best friend in the first movie. 

The film was supposed to release in theaters in December 2020, but that didn't happen due to the pandemic. 

In November 2020, Deadline reported that Paramount sold the film's global rights to Amazon, and it is now scheduled to release on 5 March 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.

The King’s Man 

Release Date: 12 March 2021

A prequel to the Kingsman film series, 'The King’s Man' will reveal the origins of the earliest independent intelligence agency.

Ralph Fiennes as the Duke of Oxford and Harris Dickinson as his protégé, Conrad, will try to stop a big war that's about to wipe out millions of people.

The series has been delayed numerous times from a  previous September 2020 release date because of the pandemic.

Release Date:  19 March 2021

Jared Leto plays Biochemist Michael Morbius, who is suffering from a rare blood disease. While looking for a cure, he infects himself with a form of vampirism that gives him incredible strength, speed, the ability to use echolocation, and an overpowering thirst for blood. 

The film is supposed to hit the theaters in July 2020 but was delayed to 19 March 2021 due to the pandemic.

No Time to Die

Release Date: 2 April 2021

James Bond (Craig) is forced to come out of retirement when an old friend from the CIA turns up asking for his help. Bond soon finds himself on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist, which leads him to a trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

The action film was delayed multiple times due to Boyle's departure and then the COVID-19 pandemic. 'No Time to Die' is currently scheduled to hit the theaters on 2 April 2021.

Black Widow

Release Date:  7 May 2021

Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe film releases will begin with Scarlett Johansson's 'Black Widow.' The film will chronicle Natasha Romanoff's quests between the films Civil War and Infinity War.

The film will also explore Romanoff's life before she became an Avenger and will feature some of her early enemies and missions. 

Here's the official trailer. Please take note that the release date that appeared on the trailer is no longer accurate. 'Black Widow' was supposed to hit the theaters in May 2020 but was delayed to 7 May 2021 due to the pandemic.



Release Date:  21 May 2021 

Another terrifying chapter from the book of 'Saw,' 'Spiral' will bring us to a sadistic mastermind who unleashes a twisted form of justice.

Expect the blood-curling screams and all the gore we love in the ninth installment of the classic horror franchise. The film is delayed for 1 year due to the (again) pandemic.

Godzilla vs. Kong

Release Date:  21 May 2021

The two greatest monsters in film history face each other in the biggest and bloodiest Titan brawl of the decade.

The Conjuring - The Devil Made Me Do It 

Release Date:  4 June 2021

One of the most anticipated horror movies of the year, 'The Conjuring - The Devil Made Me Do It' will explore one of the most sensational cases from real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren's file. 

The film will feature the trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect claims demonic possession as a defense.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Release Date: June 11, 2021

We're calling back the Ghost Busters! Or shall we say the new generation Ghost Busters? Two kids arrived in a small town with their mother and discovered their connection to the original Ghostbusters and their grandad's secret legacy.


Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Release Date:  25 June 2021

Venom's son, Carnage, is coming in the upcoming sequel. Plot details remain scarce, but director Serkis revealed that it is going to be an "extraordinary piece of cinema."
