Agatha All Along Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Agatha All Along’s first season ended after nine episodes, but will there be more? The ending of Agatha All Along teases Billy Maximoff’s story, making a second season a possibility.

The MCU has previously released shows without showrunners, but WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer is now the showrunner of Agatha All Along. This change in strategy for the studio may indicate a second season of Agatha All Along or something else.

Ranking all MCU TV Series reveals that the studio’s longer-running series are more successful. Like Loki, acclaimed animations like X-Men ’97 strive to tell their storylines across numerous seasons. Agatha All Along’s outstanding cast—or those that survived—will return, but when and how is unknown.

Will There Be Agatha All Along Season 2?

MCU series usually receive one season, although Loki and What If…? got two (and a third). The fact that Daredevil: Born Again has been optioned for two seasons doesn’t matter for Agatha All Along. Importantly, the WandaVision spin-off has had high ratings and viewership, which usually boosts confidence, especially at Agatha All Along’s cheaper cost.

No plans have been announced for Agatha All Along season 2. It was greenlit as a single-season show, like WandaVision, and Vision Quest was commonly considered the third part of the Scarlet Witch Saga. Details of that project so far – and notably, the return of James Spader’s Ultron, don’t necessarily fit with where Agatha All Along’s ending winds up, so it definitely feels like something else is coming.

Billy and Agatha’s search for Tommy’s reincarnated soul in the finale may be the strongest sign of Agatha All Along’s future. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer has confirmed she has no intentions for a Young Avengers project. Both characters would likely reappear in a replacement project.

Who Could Be In The Cast Of Agatha All Along?

Season 1 Was a Bloodbath, but Key Players Could Return

Agatha All Along was one of the scariest and bloodiest Marvel films, with several significant characters dying. Several of Agatha’s new coven, including herself, Debra Jo Rupp’s Sharon, Ali Ahn’s Alice Wu-Gulliver, and Patti LuPone’s Lilia Calderu, died, while Joe Locke’s Billy Maximoff, Jennifer Kale, and Rio Vidal survived.

Agatha, of course, lingers on as a ghost and appears to lead Billy to his lost brother Tommy. Her soul not being collected by Death may bring Rio Vidal back, and Plaza’s acting suggests that would be a smart choice.

After unbinding, Jennifer Kale regains her powers but quits Westview with an almost comical disregard for Billy, and her return might go any way. Billy put her in terrible danger, thus she owes him nothing.

Agatha All Along Season 2: How the End Predicts the Future

Agatha & Billy’s Future May Include Avengers Stories

WandaVision has been planted in the MCU and will be investigated in Vision Quest, if not in the long-debated Scarlet Witch solo film. Agatha All Along also sets up Billy’s search for his twin brother Tommy, who is reborn in episode 8 as an adolescent who dies in a prank gone wrong. Billy glimpses it happening, therefore the story’s next chapter concerns Tommy’s soul’s fate.

After sacrificing herself to save Billy from Death in the penultimate episode, Agatha will guide him. He then coerces her into joining him as they leave Westview. Billy and Tommy’s stories will have to deal with Scarlet Witch’s legacy and their connection, making this feel like Marvel’s Avengers: The Children’s Crusade. It may not be a pure adaption because too many components would have to change, but some broad strokes could work in the MCU.

Vision Quest will explore WandaVision and Agatha All Along’s legacy, and Billy and Agatha may appear in it. Vision’s story may someday return to his offspring, continuing the MCU’s magic and Wanda Maximoff saga. Despite speculation about a Scarlet Witch reappearance in the MCU, Agatha All Along avoided a clear set-up.
