ABC Cancels Series After Only One Season

Regarding one of their newest TV series, ABC has made yet another difficult choice. Sadly for viewers of a certain series, it has been announced that ABC has canceled the show after just one season was broadcast on their network.

Before the scripted series received any form of announcement about whether it will be renewed or canceled completely, a long time passed. However, we now know that ABC chose the second option.

The fact that the show had to be canceled is regrettable, but it’s even worse that the crew members are claiming that improper behavior occurred during production.

In addition to being canceled, what started out as a potential addition to the network’s programming has now been clouded by behind-the-scenes issues that have begun to surface in recent weeks.

“‘Doctor Odyssey‘ has been canceled after one season on ABC.” Variety notes that “the cast’s contracts expire on Monday with no move from ABC to put the series back on its schedule for the upcoming year.”

Nevertheless, the site did provide one potential explanation for the cancellation of the show. Not long after three former cast members of the show sued Disney and 20th Television on May 30, claiming that the studio had allowed an “unchecked campaign of s*xual harassment for months,” the news was made public. and the crew members also accused “assistant prop master Tyler Patton of making ‘sexual jokes, innuendos, comments, sexual gestures and images’ in addition to ‘unwanted touching’ including ‘openly grabbing a visiting female employee’s buttocks.”

Joshua Jackson played Max Bankman in Ryan Murphy’s medical drama series. He plays a doctor on the Odyssey, a high-end cruise line. The narrative centers on Bankman’s assistance with medical issues when he travels abroad.

In collaboration with Ryan Murphy Television, 20th Television developed the Doctor Odyssey television series.
