A Snoop Dogg Biopic Is Officially In The Works At Universal Pictures

Universal Pictures is now working on a biopic that will chronicle Snoop Dogg’s life and career. Directed by Allen Hughes (Menace II Society, The Book of Eli) and written by Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther), the film will be produced by Snoop himself through his company, Death Row Pictures, alongside Hughes and Sara Ramaker.

The hip-hop legend’s ascent from Long Beach to international superstardom, his record-breaking music career, and his transformation into an entertainment mogul are all covered in this first official biopic.ၠ

Snoop’s own songs will be used in the movie, giving his journey a unique soundtrack. Filmmakers are now casting in an effort to find a young performer who can embody Snoop’s unique voice, charisma, and lyrical flow.

The movie promises to provide an intimate and genuine depiction of Snoop’s life and legacy because of his active participation in the project.ၠ

This biopic is a component of Snoop Dogg and NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios’ larger, multi-year creative collaboration. The agreement establishes NBCUniversal as Snoop’s new creative home and broadens his reach into cinema, television, streaming, and sports entertainment. With its current location on the Universal Studios Lot, Death Row Pictures is well-positioned to launch a new wave of daring, culturally inspired filmmaking.
