Season 1 of ‘So I’m a Spider, So What?’ is now over. Hence, it is time to start obsessing if the anime will return for season 2. The anime adaptation is produced by Millepensee, based on a Japanese light novel series written by Okina Baba and illustrated by Tsukasa Kiryu. ‘So I’m a Spider, So What?’ might have received mixed reviews, but it is undeniably among the most popular anime released this year. The first season of the anime released its 24 episodes in two cours and has managed to draw fans who bravely defend the anime against critics. Let us find out if ‘So I’m a Spider, So What?’ will return for season 2.

Will There Be ‘So I’m a Spider, So What?’ Season 2?

Kadokawa, Studio Millepensee, or any company related to the production of ‘So I’m a Spider, So What?’ has not renewed the anime for season 2 yet.

The isekai anime received mixed reviews and only scored 7.45 on MyAnimeList. However, fans should not worry because the show’s streaming viewership could indicate that the anime will return for season 2. ‘I’m a Spider, So What?’ was viewed over 200 million times on the Chinese streaming site Bilibili. In comparison, ‘TenSura: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2′ only had 180 million views. The show’s viewership record could weigh out the impact of negative reviews. Hence, there is a high chance that the fans of the anime will see season 2 soon.

We will update this space once the anime gets officially renewed.

What Could Happen In ‘I’m a Spider, So What?’ Season 2?

‘So I’m a Spider, So What?’ follows Shiraori (also known as Kumoko), a young girl reincarnated as a spider-type monster called Taratect, in the world’s most dangerous dungeon. Armed with only her human knowledge, Kumoko is forced to fight dangerous adversaries until she slowly evolves into a more powerful creature. Season 2 will likely start adapting the 8th volume of the source material. In this volume, Kumoko and her company continue to journey to the Demon Realm. However, their tour gets halted upon reaching a town of the Renxandt Empire south of the Mystic Mountains after an ogre causes trouble, forcing the Renxandt military to intervene.
