“07 Ghost” Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

The original “07 Ghost,” adapted from Yuki Amemiya and Yukino Ichihara’s manga, introduced us to Teito Klein, a student at the Barsburg Military Academy. His encounters with a mystical ‘Ghost’ set the stage for an enthralling action-military saga. But is Season 2 on the horizon? Let’s explore.

Will 07 Ghost Return Season 2 Happen?

As of now, there’s no official word on its release. The odds seem stacked against it, considering the anime’s underwhelming DVD sales and the manga wrapping up in 2013 with its 17th volume. The numbers speak for themselves – Season 1’s DVD sales were modest at best, and the manga’s final volume didn’t exactly fly off the shelves.

The lack of financial success is telling. With just over 2,500 DVDs sold per volume and the manga’s final volume selling less than 100,000 copies, it’s a tough call for producers. Plus, the series hasn’t been big on merch – we’re talking less than 100 items.

It’s been 15 years since Season 1, and the clock is ticking. Usually, if a sequel is coming, it’s announced within a few years. So, the chances of seeing “07-Ghost Season 2 Episode 1” seem slim.

But for the die-hard fans, there’s a silver lining. The manga! The anime covered the first four and a half volumes, leaving a lot of untold stories. If you’re eager to continue the adventure, start with Volume 5. The manga, with its 99 chapters, ended in August 2013, giving us enough material for potentially three more anime seasons. So, there’s plenty to explore for those wanting more.

I recommend giving the manga a read. All 17 volumes are out in English. If you were hooked on the anime, the manga will definitely catch your fancy.

To wrap up, the future of “07-Ghost” Season 2 looks bleak. The most reliable way to follow the story now is through the manga. Holding out for a second season might be futile, but hey, in the world of anime, you never know. I’d love to see a comeback, but for now, it seems like “07-Ghost” will remain a one-season wonder.
