Is Man Vs. Bee Season 2 Happening?

Renewal Status: Officially Canceled

The Sun reported that “Man vs. Bee” has been canceled after just one season. The reasons behind the show’s discontinuation remain unspecified, but it is commonly attributed to its performance on Netflix.

The show’s brief format and Netflix’s recent trend of discontinuing comedy series make the cancellation unsurprising. However, there is still potential for continuation, as the series was never designated as a limited or mini-series in any official communications or on the Netflix platform itself, despite reaching a satisfying conclusion.

“Man vs. Bee” was a notable presence in Netflix’s global top 10 charts for two weeks, amassing a total of 43.61 million viewing hours, which is impressive given its shorter duration. The viewership details are as follows:

– From June 19th to June 26th, 2022: 18,210,000 hours viewed, ranked 10th, first week in top 10.

– From June 26th to July 3rd, 2022: 25,400,000 hours viewed (a 39% increase), ranked 7th, second week in top 10.

The initial trailer for the show also achieved remarkable success on YouTube, with 15 million views at the time of reporting. This achievement places it among Netflix’s most successful trailers, which is often correlated with high viewership on the platform. This performance surpasses that of trailers for “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” “Elite,” “Enola Holmes,” and “Our Planet.”
