The Hook Up Plan or Plan Coeur in French is a comedy web television series produced for Netflix. It is also the second French series to be produced for Netflix following Marseille. The first season of the show premiered in 2018. It follows the story of Elsa, a Parisian woman who has a hard time when it comes to love. In an attempt to build her confidence following a rough breakup with her boyfriend, her friends decide to hire a male escort to take her on dates. But things take a surprising turn really fast.
The show was made to reignite Netflix’s original French programming and seems to have done the trick following the not-so-enthusiastic reception of political-crime drama Marseille. The Hook Up Plan has three seasons. Here’s what you need to know about the future of the show:
Will There Be Season 4 Of The Hook Up Plan?
The show premiered its first season on December 7, 2018, followed by the second season on October 11, 2019. A special episode related to the pandemic was released in 2020, and the show was renewed for a final season the same year. The third and final season premiered on January 1, 2022, consisting of only six episodes, compared to the seven and eight episodes of the second and first seasons, respectively.
The audience greatly enjoyed the show, thanks to its heartwarming storyline and hilarious misadventures. The ending was satisfying, leaving fans content. Unfortunately, there will not be another season of The Hook Up Plan.
What Was The Plot Of The Hook Up Plan?
The show begins with Elsa “El” Payette, who is on the brink of turning 30. Her friends try to help her to forget her ex by hiring a male escort, Julio “Jules” Dupont, and this scheme soon starts to unravel. The show’s first two seasons were a whirlwind of love triangles, emotions, and racy adventures, as Elsa and her group of friends try to navigate through life. The third season has a more conclusive tone as we see El and Jules get older and explore their relationship.
In the end, we see El and Jules’ happy ending as they start their own family. She embraces motherhood as they welcome their son. Together with her group of friends, they take on their lives through thick and thin. El has her happy ending despite her rough beginnings.

Who Was Cast In The Hook Up Plan?
The show had cast Zita Hanrot as Elsa and Marc Ruchmann as Julio. They were joined by Sabrina Ouazani as Charlotte “Cha” Ben Smires, Joséphine Draï as Émilie “Milou” Chestnut, Syrus Shahidi as Antoine Ben Smires, Tom Dingler as Matthieu, Guillaume Labbé as Maxime “Max” Pauillac, Yvan Naubron as Roman, and Ludivine de Chastenet as Chantal.
