Has “Free Rein” Been Renewed For A Fourth Season?

Renewal Status: Canceled

Free Rein cast

For a while, Netflix left fans in limbo about the status of Free Rein season 4. The third season aired on 6 July 2019, and after a few years, Netflix still did not update us on season 4. The show is among the most popular teen drama series on Netflix, and people thought the streaming giant would not give up on it so quickly. Plus, the story still has room for progress. In 2020, rumors circulated that the show was canceled. However, without an official word from Netflix and the cast, people clung to hope that the show will still return.

Sadly in January 2021, cast member Céline Buckens confirmed via a podcast that the series had concluded.

What Is ‘Free Rein’ All About?

“Free Rein” tells the story of a 15-year-old girl from LA who spends the summer at her mom’s childhood home. The place is located on the east coast of England. While there, she meets a mysterious horse and forms a deep bond with it.

At the end of season 3, Gaby submitted a video of Zoe riding to a school in Florida, and now they want her to audition. If the audition goes well, then she will have to leave her friends behind. This could’ve been a great jump-off point for season 4. Sadly, the show is no longer coming back for more.

The main cast members of Free Rein include:

Jaylen Barron as Zoe Phillips,
Freddy Carter as Peter “Pin” Hawthorne,
Navia Robinson as Rosie Phillips
