Supacell Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Following its critical success and shocking conclusion, many are wondering about the future of Supacell on Netflix. Here’s what we know.

Is Supacell Season 2 Happening?

Supacell has been officially renewed for a new season.

Earlier this month, the news was officially confirmed and shared on Netflix’s social media channels.

When Is The Release Date Of Supacell Season 2?

Although Supacell season 2 has recently been revealed, the exact release date of the second part is still up in the air.

Production start dates and casting details have remained under wraps, so for now, all we can do is wait.

Production for the first season took just seven months, so we’re crossing our fingers for a quick return to screens. However, given that season 1 didn’t premiere until mid-2024 due to post-production, we might have to wait a bit longer.

Be sure to check back for any updates.

Who Will Be In The Cast Of Supacell Season 2?

When it comes to the cast, we’re hoping to see everyone from the original cast return for a potential second season, maybe even some new faces.

If there be a season 2 of Supacell, the following actors would likely return:

Tosin Cole as Michael Lasaki
Yasmin Monet Prince as Veronica
Eddie Marsan as Ray
Nadine Mills as Sabrina
Eric Kofi-Abrefa as Andre
Calvin Demba as Rodney
Josh Tedeku as Josh Rayxia Ojo as Sharleen Giacomo Mancini as Spud
Michael Salami as Gabriel Travis Jay as John

Considering the ending to season 1, which saw shots fired at her car, we may not see Adelayo Adedayo back as Dionne – only time will tell!

What Could Happen In Supacell Season 2?

As for what a possible second season of Supacell could be about, the first season certainly left on quite the cliffhanger with shots fired at Dionne’s car and Michael unable to turn back time to save her.

Later, though, Michael meets the rest of the group at Onyx, where he tells them he’s going to the future to find out answers, and aims to make everyone who hurt them pay for what they did.

At The Organization, Krazy has been located and placed in recovery, but Victoria eliminates him because he failed to apprehend Michael and the gang.

As they walk away, she coldly informs Ray he let her down, too… and now they’re going to do things her way.

Therefore, it definitely gives a lot of room for future exploration.

The first season centered on Michael’s girlfriend Dionne’s imminent death. Superpowers are bestowed upon Michael and four other Black South Londoners after they undergo extreme testing.

As the narrative progresses, we observe how each character deals with their abilities and their altered life courses, which causes some surprising turns.
