In March, 7th Time Loop aired its twelfth and last episode, and there was no news of a second season. Will there be no further episodes as a result of this? How likely is it that any announcements will be made in the future? Here’s everything we know so far.
Will 7th Time Loop Return With Season 2?
The first two volumes of the light novel are adapted into 12 episodes in Season 1 of the 7th Time Loop anime.
Since 2020, the original work’s creators, Touko Amekawa and Hachipisuwan, have released four volumes in total (the fifth is now in the works).
Consequently, about half of the tale is covered in the anime produced by Studio Kai and HORNETS.
A parallel manga adaptation of 7th Time Loop exists as well, however it is being published slowly.
Given all of these facts, it makes sense to assume that the anime’s designers will hold off until the light novel develops a bit more. If they started working on Season 2 right now, they’d end up on par with the original. And that isn’t possible.
I think it would be really odd if a second season wasn’t announced, especially considering how well the series was received by Crunchyroll users. However, patience will be required.
