Netflix had already ordered two sequels and the third film will be dropping on the streaming site as well.
365 Days or 365 Dni in Polish is the erotic thriller film that was all the rage when it was released. A sequel of the film was released in April 2022. The film series is based on the novel trilogy by Blanka Lipińska that follows the story of a young Warsaw woman, Laura Biel, in a dull relationship who ends up falling for a dominant Sicilian man, Massimo who imprisons and imposes on her a period of 365 days for which to fall in love with him.
The film became the most-watched film on Netflix in many countries. It was also criticized for its sexual violence and the glorification of the mafia. The second film followed the events of the first film that ended on a cliffhanger. The second film also got negative critical reception as its predecessor. But Netflix had already ordered two sequels and the third film will be dropping on the streaming site as well. Here's what you need to know about it:
In the previous film, a lot transpired. Laura and Massimo get married but it's not as happy as it should have been. A rival mafia gang threatens to kill Laura and Massimo decides to keep her under house arrest yet again because it's not easy being a mafia boss' wife. Laura is also keeping it a secret that she had a miscarriage during the accident. She grows tired of the marriage and runs away from home with their gardener when she thinks her husband is cheating on her.
It is revealed that Massimo has a twin brother, Adriano, who together with Massimo's ex tries to kill Laura. In the end, there are a lot of gunshots and we don't know who is alive and who survived. The third film will be based on the third book by Lipińska. If it will stay true to the plot of the book, we can expect to see Laura fight for her life as the doctors do their best to save her life. In the book, Laura is pregnant and Massimo is asked by the doctors to choose whose life to save. He is troubled with the decision he has to make that will determine the future of their family.
Anna-Maria Sieklucka as Laura Biel and Michele Morrone as Don Massimo Torricelli will be reprising their role. Morrone who also played his twin brother will probably not have to do it for the next film. Magdalena Lamparska as Olga, Otar Saralidze as Domenico, and Simone Susinna as Nacho will also be coming back to the next film as well.
The shoot for the second and third films started at the same time. While the second film was delayed because of the pandemic, the third film is expected to be right on track. The film could be released as early as the end of this year or early 2023.
