Massimo is coming back, not just for one, but two passionate movies ahead!
365 Days (365 Dni), the erotic film that took the world by storm during the height of the pandemic last year, is coming back!
The Polish film starring Michele Morrone was first released in theaters in Poland on 7 February 2020. The show eventually made waves on the internet due to its raunchy scenes. The show's success ballooned even bigger when Netflix picked it up for a global release.
'365 Days' had its fair share of controversies. Several people slammed it for romanticizing kidnapping and rape. However, it looks like nothing is stopping Massimo from holding the viewer's hostage on another flick again.
Let's find out what the future holds for the film.
Renewal Status: Renewed
The controversial Polish erotic drama is coming back not just for one, but two more films!
Netflix licensed and released '365 Days' around the world in June 2020, and it was a smash hit, particularly due to its explicit scenes.
Netflix didn't wait to get the license and distribute the next film. They decided to jump right ahead and pick up the next two films as an in-house production instead. This means that the upcoming sequels will be Netflix Original movies.
The film is currently slated for a 2022 release. We don't know when exactly it's coming out, and Netflix is yet to announce the specific release date.
The film was supposed to begin production in August 2020 in Sicily but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming will finally resume this month. Both films will be shot back-to-back and will take place in Poland and Italy.
The sequel was originally planned for a theatrical release, but now that Netflix has picked it up, it will be heading straight to the streaming giant instead.
The first movie ended in a cliffhanger. Laura's life was in grave danger, and for a second, we wondered whether she is alive or not.
Well., the good news is she is.
There are 2 more books from the series novels where the film is based on, and it continues to follow Laura and Massimo's story.
The next two films are expected to adopt the second and third books in the novel series. The second book is called 'This Day' (Ten dzień), while the third one is 'Another 365 Days' (Kolejne 365 Dni).
In the next books, Massimo and Laura begin a new life together. Massimo finds out about her pregnancy, and they get married. However, their relationship will be put to test when Marcelo "Nacho" Matos gets in the picture. Laura will develop feelings for him. We know how obsessed Massimo is with Laura, so we can only expect that it's going to cause a lot of trouble.
We don't know yet how faithful will Netflix's adaptation be, but we are certain that it won't hold back on its intense titillating scenes.
Michele Morrone is confirmed to reprise his role as Don Massimo Torricelli, the super-rich and super seductive mafia boss.
Anna-Maria Sieklucka is also coming back as Laura, Massimo's romantic interest, slash prisoner. Her friend Olga, played by Magdalena Lamparska, will also return.
There will also be a new major character who will be introduced in the second film. Simone Susinna is set to play the character who will be in a love triangle with Massimo and Laura.
The trailer will most likely release by 2022. We will keep tabs on the film and update this article whenever there's a new development.
