For every aspiring actor, there's nothing more prestigious than winning an Oscar. As much as you want audiences to appreciate your craft, there's something about receiving recognition for your work from a panel of critics and experts that validates your journey of delivering powerful performances. But do the Academy Awards always get it right? We feel there are so many actors who are incredibly talented but haven't even been nominated, let alone received an Oscar. Do you know who they are? We've put together a list of 20 big-name actors who haven't won an Oscar, referring to Ranker.

Sometimes even veteran actors have been snubbed for decades before ending up with the esteemed golden statuette. Only two actors can win either the Best Actor or Best Supporting Actor Oscars per year. So the competition can be pretty tight. But sometimes it does feel like an all-out snub. The awards have long been criticized for ignoring Black actors. Other times it feels like it has ignored popular commercial actors like Johnny Depp, Robert Downey, Jr., Matt Damon, and Michael Fassbender. Whatever the reason, let's have a look at all the actors who we feel definitely deserve the noteworthy award for their impeccable talent.
