Sometimes you're in the mood to watch sappy, romantic movies from the '90s. Other times you want to watch more serious period dramas. Then you find yourself in the mood for some lighthearted, comedies to take your mind off a stressful day. And every once in a while you look forward to watching a movie that will move you to the bones, inspire you to take on any challenge in life.  No matter what mood you're in sometimes when you're a girl alone, you just want to be by yourself and watch something at the moment. So here's a list of 10 films to check out.

1. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Sure there's a lot of mind games at play, but this film does tend to be entertaining. Kate Hudson is pretty adorable albeit quite manipulative in this film as she plays Andie Anderson who is writing an article on "How to Lose a Guy in 10 days." And her subject is a very sexy Matthew McConaughey who is also quite deceptive.  If you're looking for a romantic comedy and can ignore all the deception, this is an entertaining film.

4. Little Miss Sunshine
