In the aftermath of Coachella, attendees have taken to social media to express astonishment at the exorbitant prices of food and beverages available at the festival grounds. While some were captivated by surprise celebrity appearances and announcements, others found themselves fixated on a rather essential aspect of the festival experience – the culinary offerings.

Let's face it, festival fare has never been synonymous with affordability. However, nestled amidst influencers and A-listers, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, serves as a hotspot for prices that seem to ascend even further.

Ticket prices have remained substantial, ranging from $499 to $599 (exclusive of fees), mirroring last year's figures. Despite the prior year's backlash regarding the steep costs of refreshments, it appears little has changed in that regard.

Social media influencer Jackie Tanti, known on TikTok as @jackietanti, took to the platform last year to reveal the jaw-dropping sum she paid for a modest order of two burritos and a coffee. This year, she once again shared her expense for a similar order, comprising two burritos and a cucumber drink, which astonishingly amounted to a total of $64.

In a recent video uploaded on April 13, Jackie reveals the sizable burritos accompanied by a less-than-appetizing sauce, emphasizing the hefty price tag attached to her breakfast purchase.

Commentary on Jackie's post ranged from disbelief to resigned acknowledgment of the capitalistic reality she highlighted. Meanwhile, another festival attendee shared a photo of beverage prices, drawing attention to the staggering costs associated with indulging in a drink at Coachella.

A single Absolut Vodka commands $17 while opting for a double entails a $28 expenditure. Should one desire a White Claw Hard Seltzer Black Cherry, they must bid farewell to $16, and indulging in a Kim Crawford sauvignon blanc demands an additional $17.

Acknowledging the prevalent inflationary trend across the United States, one user rationalized the steep prices, noting the absence of taxes and tips in the displayed figures, which typically inflate the final cost by around 30 percent.

Furthermore, a user lamented the high price of pizza at the festival, revealing a 'whole large pie' priced at a staggering $65, with a lemonade accompanying it for an additional $9.

In light of these revelations, some users advised others to relish the experience without dwelling on the prices, perhaps acknowledging the inevitable sticker shock that comes with partaking in such events.
