In a recent revelation, Macaulay Culkin, the iconic actor from Home Alone, shared an intriguing experience from his childhood involving the late Michael Jackson. The 43-year-old actor disclosed a "weird" phone call from the King of Pop himself, inviting him over when Culkin was just 10 years old.

The friendship between Michael Jackson and Macaulay Culkin has been well-documented over the years, and Culkin sheds light on a peculiar moment that marked the beginning of their relationship. Culkin recounted the unexpected call in an interview with Larry King, reminiscing about the time Jackson contacted him after watching the classic Christmas film, Home Alone.

"I first met him; he kind of called me randomly, like, out of the blue, he was just kind of like, 'Hi, it's Michael,' and I'm like, 'Hey,'" Culkin recalled. He noted a previous brief encounter during his performance in The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center, where Jackson had visited backstage. Culkin continued, "And he kind of recognized me because it was after I'd done Uncle Buck."

The actor revealed that Jackson reached out to him during a period of rapid fame and growth in his career. Culkin explained, "Yeah, he reached out to me because a lot of things were happening, you know, big and fast with me, and I think, yes, I think yeah, he identified with that. And then he calls me up kind of out of the blue, it's kind of just this weird, random thing. He was like, 'Why don't you come over to my house?'"

However, with the passing of Michael Jackson in 2009, accusations surfaced, particularly in the explosive documentary, Leaving Neverland, where it was alleged that Jackson had abused youngsters. Despite the controversies, Culkin maintained that he never witnessed any inappropriate behavior from Jackson and denied personal encounters of misconduct.

Culkin's loyalty to Jackson extended to the 2005 trial where the pop icon was accused of molesting a boy. The actor provided evidence in defense of Jackson, contributing to the singer's acquittal.

Addressing persistent rumors surrounding their friendship, Culkin clarified in a 2020 interview with Esquire magazine, "I'm gonna begin with the line - it's not a line, it's the truth: He never did anything to me. I never saw him do anything. And especially at this flashpoint in time, I'd have no reason to hold anything back."

Despite the controversies that surrounded their relationship, Culkin remains steadfast in dispelling any speculation of wrongdoing, reinforcing the genuine nature of his friendship with the legendary Michael Jackson.
