Fans have expressed worry over Kim Kardashian's appearance at the Met Gala, particularly regarding her choice of attire. Social media has been abuzz with concerns about her 'unhealthy' and 'uncomfortable' look at the 2024 event.

This isn't the first time Kardashian has faced scrutiny for her public image; her actions and appearance have often drawn criticism, especially considering her influence on a younger audience.

At this year's Met Gala, she turned heads in a silver John Galliano corset-style dress, aligning with the event's theme.

Despite the outfit's striking appearance, many people were surprised by the extreme cinching of the waist, which led some to wonder about the possible health effects. Despite the dress's aesthetic appeal, the focus on Kardashian's tightly cinched waist has sparked concern among social media users.

"Kim Kardashian at the Met Gala with a snatched waist. It looks painful though, she can barely move."

"What is wrong with these celebrities?! Why!? Did she break her ribs?!"

"She kind of looks like she's in pain."

"Met Gala 2024: Kim Kardashian’s cinched waist causes confusion == doesnt look uncomfortable or battling to breath ?? so what the hell is the problem ? ? ? JEALOSY ?? PROBABLY !"

Users of social media are legitimately concerned, though.

'Not generally deadly, wearing a tightly laced corset can be highly damaging to the wearer', the Charleston Museum notes in its entry on the effects of corsetry.

"They can weaken back and chest muscles, cause skin irritations, shortness of breath and fainting, reduce lung capacity, and have even been known to cause organ deformity," it says.

"Tight corsetry can also aggravate lung conditions such as pneumonia, dangerously restrict digestion, cause constipation and can also worsen any existing issues within a woman's reproductive system."
