Damsel

Millie Bobby Brown, famous for her role in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, is venturing into new and exciting projects. With Stranger Things set to conclude after its upcoming season, Brown sees it as a pivotal moment in her career, akin to graduating from high school. She's eager to explore new opportunities and embark on a journey into the unknown. In her own words, she shares, "I think I'm ready. It's been such a significant part of my life, but it's like graduating high school, it's like senior year. You're ready to go and blossom and flourish, and you're grateful for the time you've had, but it's time to create your message and live your own life."

While awaiting the final season of Stranger Things, Brown has had the chance to collaborate with Netflix on the Enola Holmes movies. Her partnership with the streaming giant continues with her upcoming feature, the fantasy action film titled "Damsel." Unfortunately, the movie missed its initially scheduled release date of October 13 this year, but Netflix has officially announced that it will now hit screens in 2024. Moreover, Netflix has initiated the film's promotional campaign, with a new poster and preparations to release the trailer online this Saturday, November 11.

The film's plot is intriguing, as it revolves around a dutiful damsel who agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to discover that the royal family has designated her as a sacrifice to settle an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her intelligence and determination to survive. "Damsel" boasts a star-studded cast, featuring not only Millie Bobby Brown but also Nick Robinson from Jurassic World, the acclaimed Angela Bassett, and the seasoned actor Ray Winstone.

In addition to "Damsel," one of Brown's exciting upcoming projects is a post-apocalyptic tentpole film directed by the Russo brothers, renowned for their work on the Avengers series. Titled "The Electric State," this film pairs her with Chris Pratt, a prospect that greatly excites Brown. She shares, "To be able to go toe-to-toe with Chris Pratt! It's a very exciting opportunity that I never thought I'd be able to have, to be treated the same as him and to be looked at and respected the same as him on the set by the production, by the studio." It's evident that Brown's career is on a remarkable trajectory, and her fans can look forward to her continued success in the entertainment industry.
